SUMMARY:Blue Crabs Community Caravan
DESCRIPTION:Come out and play baseball with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs! \nPrior to the start of their upcoming season\, The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will be touring around the tri-county area in their “Community Caravan\,” volunteering with different organizations and getting to know their fans! \nOn Wednesday\, April 18th\, they will be bringing a caravan full of Blue Crabs players to Hallowing Point Park specifically to get to know folks at The Arc Southern Maryland and to play a game of pick up baseball with us! This is The Arc’s 5th year in a row being chosen by the Blue Crabs for this event! \nThis event is for individuals supported by The Arc and their staff only. All consumers and staff from the tri-county area are welcome to come join in on the fun! Adaptations will be made so that everyone can play. A few picnic tables & bleachers are available in a shady area for those who need to be out of the sun or just want to watch. Please bring your own sunscreen\, water bottles\, outdoor chairs\, baseball bats & baseball gloves (if you have them). Please have your own items marked with your name. \nStay after the baseball game and join us for a hot dog lunch at noon. Individuals interested in having lunch should send $3 to Crystal Haislip at our Calvert office no later than Friday\, April 13th. Lunch will include a hot dog\, chips\, & drink. If you haven’t paid by April 13th\, you are still welcome to participate in the game\, just please plan on bringing your own lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables right near the field for those wishing to have lunch and hang out for the day. \nHallowing Point Park is located right off Rt. 231 in Prince Frederick. When coming into the park\, follow the road to the first stop sign and make a left into the parking lot. Straight ahead\, you will see the concession stand. We will be located on Field 4. It is the furthest field on your right when facing the concession stand. \nIn the event of inclement weather\, each Arc office will be notified of other plans by Sam the morning of the event.
